Why Couture Menswear’s opted to partner with PayNuts.

We recently spoke to Flavio Scotece, a budding entrepreneur who founded leading fashion business Couture Menswear.

With showrooms in Melbourne and Sydney, Flavio tells us about his business journey and how PayNuts’ payment solutions have helped him save money and grow. Flavio, tell us about how you got stared in the fashion business?

“I have always had a passion for designing fashion and sketching designs since I was a kid. I have diaries upon diaries of designs and sketches from my younger years and I knew fashion was always my passion. I noticed the choice for men’s fashion in Australia was very limited and lacked creativity – it all sort of looked the same and was nothing like I saw in Europe. Deep down, I’ve always had a burning desire to build a brand in fashion and it was a no brainer to start Couture Menswear bringing new style and designs whilst staying close to my Italian influence".

The retail landscape is always evolving. How has your brand embraced innovation and adapted to changing trends over time?

"Fashion is one of the fastest evolving industries! It never stops – one fashion week ends, and another begins. To succeed in the cutthroat world of fashion it takes a keen eye to build a brand based on lasting style and not fad trends. We focus on giving our customers fashion that they want and fashion that lasts – it transcends the trends of the time and can be worn over. We do keep an eye on what is current and new, and we do try and build that into our current designs. The world is moving away from fast fashion, and we are part of that push".

What challenges have you faced as a business owner?

"Speak to any business owner and they will likely say delegating and hiring staff has probably been the largest challenge in the growth phase. As much as I would like too, I can’t wear all the hats! It’s been a priority of mine to build an incredible team of people who each bring their own unique perspective and strengths. When you hire the right people who fit your culture and are passionate about what you do the success follows".

What does having a partnership with business like PayNuts means to you?
