At PayNuts, we’re nuts about helping businesses get paid simply, securely and without fuss. Today, we’re proud to share the next chapter of our journey, with a refreshed brand and an expanded range of integrated solutions built to support modern Australian SMEs.
If you’ve known us for our reliable EFTPOS solutions, that hasn’t changed. What has changed is how much more we can do to support your business. We’re evolving into a fully integrated payments and technology partner, designed to make running your business easier as the payments landscape continues to shift.
Built for What’s Next in Payments.
With economic and regulatory changes accelerating, on 31 March 2026, the Reserve Bank of Australia released its conclusions paper on Merchant Card Payment Costs and Surcharging, signalling a big shift in the Australian payments landscape. The changes include lower interchange fee caps, greater fee transparency and the ability for card schemes to prohibit surcharges.
PayNuts Co-Founder and Managing Director Geoff Branson welcomed the RBA’s push for greater clarity and fairness across the payment’s ecosystem.
“As surcharging is phased out, the responsibility will increasingly fall on payment service providers, acquirers and banks to deliver genuine value to merchants,” Branson said.
“The critical question is how the industry ensures that value flows through to small and medium-sized businesses. That’s the problem we’re focused on solving at PayNuts,” Branson said.
One Ecosystem. Fewer Headaches.
Our new brand reflects a simple idea: bringing everything together, in a way that works for real businesses. By reducing vendor fragmentation and simplifying operations, we’re helping SMEs spend less time managing systems and more time growing.
A major milestone in this evolution is the launch of our fully integrated point-of-sale (POS) platform, purpose built for hospitality and retail. Designed to connect instore and online payments seamlessly, it delivers a truly unified experience across every sale.
After a successful twelve-month pilot, the platform is now live across multiple form factors. Whether you’re running a small café or managing a large retail operation with thousands of SKUs, the system is built to scale with you.
With end-to-end control across payments and POS, we can deliver deeper integrations, faster support and continuous improvements. Features include real-time reporting via mobile app, table management, and online and QR-code ordering that syncs directly to the POS.
We’re not stopping there. Delivery app integrations for hospitality venues and appointment booking tools for health and beauty operators are already on the roadmap.
Supporting Your Business Beyond Payments.
PayNuts is expanding into value added services designed to improve business continuity and operational efficiency. Through a partnership with More Telecom, merchants can access fast, business-grade nbn®, including discounts for eligible customers. This is supported by a partnership with More Bookkeeping, providing dedicated financial management support and creating a more seamless, fully integrated operational foundation for SMEs.
Your Payments Partner, Reimagined.
“We’re not just a payments company anymore,” says Branson. “We’re evolving into a technology business built to serve Australia’s SMEs with a connected ecosystem of products that complement each other, from payments and POS to nbn® and financial tools. We want to be the partner that helps small businesses grow, adapt and succeed.”
“This is especially important as the global economic landscape is constantly shifting, and Australian businesses, now, more than ever, need access to services that can scale and wrap around their own unique needs”
With strong momentum, rising industry recognition and a brand that reflects who we are today, PayNuts is proud to offer a smarter, more connected way to run your business.
