Troubleshooting your Terminal (VeriFone T650p standalone)

Troubleshooting on Standalone Verifone T650p

If the terminal is unresponsive

  • Ensure the terminal has a battery and the power cable is securely connected.

  • Power the terminal off for 10 seconds.

  • Power on the terminal.

  • Retry the transactions.

  • Call the PayNuts Customer Support team if the problem persists.

If the terminal is not reading cards

  • Re-tap/insert or swipe the card.

  • If there is still no response from the terminal, power it off for 10 seconds.

  • Power on the terminal.

  • Attempt transaction again.

  • Call the PayNuts Customer Support team if the problem persists.

Receipt/printing faults (in standalone mode only)

  • Remove the receipt roll from the terminal printer to ensure that there is no paper jam.

  • If the existing receipt roll is damaged in any way then replace this with a new roll.

  • If the problem continues, power off the terminal for 10 seconds.

  • Power on the terminal.

  • To print a sample receipt, navigate through the main menu to the reprint receipt option.

  • Call the PayNuts Customer Support team if the problem persists.

Connectivity Issues and drop outs (Connect Express)

  • Swipe Down on screen

  • Swipe right - you will see Sim symbol

  • Select either Sim 1 or Sim 2 to change network provider
